      What is a Nurse Practitioner?

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Nurse with advanced training in diagnosing and treating illness. Nurse Practitioners are Master’s prepared Health Professionals that focus on achievement of wellness and prevention of disease. While Nurse Practitioners provide the same quality of care as physicians, the Philosophy of Nurse Practitioners is different. Their focus is on prevention, wellness and education.

What is an office visit like?

Initial visits are generally 90 minutes. A detailed plan of action will be developed at the first visit after a comprehensive medical history is taken. Follow up visits are typically 45 minutes. Often there is an initial need for follow up visits every 6-12 weeks or when test results become available and if treatment changes need to be made.

Please fill out the New Patient Form and bring it with you to the first visit. If you do not have access to a computer/printer, let us know and we will mail the form to you.

We DO provide Standard Insurance Reimbursement Forms that enable many of our patients to receive 70%-80% out of network reimbursement directly from their insurance company for the cost of the visits and testing.  Please contact your insurance company to inquire your out-of-network provision.
